So as i mentioned beforehand i have worked on government projects before and continue to do so even though i for the most part dont agree on how they do things.

For the newest project i now had to undergo a new Security Vetting since my previous clearance level was not high enough.
This time though my level is now finally high enough that i am allowed to read the dossier about myself.
For Information in Germany we have 5 (well 6 if you count 0) clearance levels. They are graded the following.
0 You know nothing and you are not allowed to now any stuff that is not public available.
1 You are allowed to view a set amount of files (decided beforehand) you have to undergo basic Security Vetting to get this.
Vetting includes a background check and pulling of all files about you also you will have to give precise answers to questions about your past live but without polygraph (Lie Detector).
You will have to do this if you for example work on basic Government internal and low level Secret projects.
2 You are allowed to view any low level Secret files after filing the correct forms.
Most higher end Government work requires this some military positions like work at the MAD do as well.
3 You are allowed Secret files after filing the correct forms. And some restricted and beforehand clarified Top Secret Files.
My previous level and here you have to undergo the next level of Security Vetting this time including a polygraph test and the like.
4 You are allowed to view Top Secret Files after filling the correct forms and have basically unlimited access to lower security level Files.
This is my new level and to get it i was checked out quite thoroughly for example all my communication stuff had been checked all my personal Files from University and Companies had been pulled and so on also i again had to do a polygraph test this time with funny control questions for example about my sex live and religious believes etc .... great fun.
5 Only for Top rank Military (Generals) the head of the BND (German NSA equivalent) Top level Goverment for example the Bundeskanzler or the like. This rank is really rare there are about 15 people in Germany that have this rank at any given time.
You get more or less uncontrolled access to even Top Secret Files.

So the funny thing about this time is that i was finally allowed to view the results of my own vetting process. Which was the first File i requested and read today.

I have not been that disappointed in a long time they know jack shit about me. They know my sex live and they know my whereabouts very precisely but everyone with access to my Google Account would know that. They know my financial status but getting that about someone in Germany is easy since the system that guards it is broken by design.
Thus far this wasnt surprising at all what was more interesting was what they have as a psychological profile for me. They dont get shit sure i had been evaluated a few times before for previous levels but they all got it wrong ....

So why do i write about all of this? Well to be fair the Thread titles is still that i am rambling about shit in here so i am doing just that but also the thing about the whole security vetting process that really bothers me is that it has been turned around so much from what it used to be. Intentionally it was there for the Government to filter out people that only did the job for the money and instead get idealists that would have been harder to corrupt and worked for higher ideals like freedom and the like.
But what it has turned into is that these people are the first that get kicked out nowadays the tests come down to finding a certain kind of people from which they know of that if we pay them well enough they wont rat us out.
Sure this says something about me but whoever has not realized that i dont hold any ethical or moral values is really of the slow kind.

The whole System has turned against itself and it just is an irony in itself that the people nowadays that are allowed to get a clearance are exactly the people that the system is designed originally to never give one to.

First of all this only fits somewhat into the Star Citizen Forum as it will use examples from real live mostly failed American operations though.

Also as a fair warning as you have seen by now this will be a giant wall of text so if you post a TL:DR i will smack you in the face.

So let us begin here with about the Topic of Guerrilla Warfare.

To get everyone on equal footing i will start out with a small explanation using the official definition of the word.

Guerrilla Warfare is a form of irregular warfare in which a small group of combatants such as armed civilians or irregulars use military tactics including ambushes, sabotage, raids, petty warfare, hit and run tactics and extraordinary mobility to fight a larger and less mobile traditional army.

This definition is quite the mouth full and contains a lot of terms that i feel need further explanation so i will first go to this before we dive further into strategy and tactics of how to fight a Guerrilla War.
Most of the things are coming from an older time and they were defined by an old concept of honor that first came up in Europe during times in which knights still fought each other on battlefields for glory and fatherland.

Back then there was a heavy distinction between the so called Gentlemen and the lower classes here Gentlemen are people that follow the concepts of Honor and the Law before their own interests and as such they earn certain privileges.
In combat this would lead to the so called Privileged Combatants which are members of the armed forces of a party to the conflict. Or members of the militias not under command of the armed forces but with the following traits.
-that of being commanded by a person responsible for his subordinates;
-that of having a fixed distinctive sign recognizable at a distance;
-that of carrying arms openly;
-that of conducting their operations in accordance with the laws and customs of war.
Also members of regular armed forces who profess allegiance to a government or an authority not recognized by the Detaining Power.
And finally Inhabitants of a non-occupied territory, who on the approach of the enemy spontaneously take up arms to resist the invading forces, without having had time to form themselves into regular armed units, provided they carry arms openly and respect the laws and customs of war.
If there are Privileged Combatants there are also the Unprivileged Combatants or sometimes called Unlawful combatant. These people have basically no rights in combats and in the old times people like spies, mercenaries, child soldiers and all civilians that do not match one of the above parts are threaded as such. Also Combatants who would otherwise be privileged but have breached the laws and customs of war.

Which throws up another question of the Customs of War and this is one that is quite interesting since it comes out of the same times.
What are these Customs of War is also easiest explained coming from the idea of honor and as such you are not allowed to harm any Prisoners of War and in fact have the obligation to try and not kill your opponent if possible and instead make him a Prisoner of War that has to be taken care of according to his initial standing of power. For example a you manage to Capture a General of an opposing army you now have to treat him with the utmost respect he receives all possible and necessary medical care even before your own soldiers if necessary since he has a higher ranking and will get rations of food according to his rank. He also needs his own quarters since a General cant be allowed to just sleep with common folk and the like.
But that is not all Customs of War back in the day and even nowaday as regulated in for example the Hague Conventions and the like are reglemented quite strict. There are rules for almost anything from how to Open an Hostile conflict to things like how you should treat Merchant Ships during times of war. It is quite complex and i wont go into detail since no one ever took it serious and probably never will but the part that is important is how you lose your privileges as combatant.
The following things are basically the easiest way to do so.
Using false flag for example flying the colours of the red cross the red crescent or a red lion and sun as to fake your allegiance to a humanitarian organization. But also using the flags of Neutral powers or powers that would be recognized as uninvolved in the conflict.
Feigning a surrender or an injury as a introduction for a surprise attack.
Feigning a civilian or non combatant status by hiding your weapons.

So here we have explained most of the Customs of War now what are the forms of irregular warfare. Well basically it is all the things you are not allowed to to. Using unmarked troops carrying hidden weapons using spies and troops that dont follow any direct command.
Sometimes it is also put as equivalent to asymmetrical warfare which is wrong since a conflict in which two regular armies fight each other can be asymmetrical as well if one side is just heavily outnumbered. Asymmetrical warfare only describes the relative military power of both combatants.

Now that the definition of Guerrilla Warfare should be clear lets take a look at the history originally the word comes from the spanish guerrilla which means as much as small or little war. It was first coined as such in the Peninsular War where the Spanish fought against Napoleonic troops in small groups against a highly superior army. So now we are getting closer to the real guide part but before you get all hyped up i will first to have to disappoint you with a another explanation of definitions these being Strategy and Tactic. It is important to understand the difference in them because they are the reason for why a won battle never means winning the war. And exactly here lies the definition of what a Strategy is a long term plan and most commonly a political one.
While a strategy concerns itself with problems like when to fight and where or even against whom tactics is the question of how to fight in a certain battle. Tactics are basically the rules of engagement you have agreed on things like keeping ranged units back and close combat specialists in the front. Also to tactics fall things like the good old Ruse of War things like faking a retreat to force an enemy into territory they may be less familiar with or that gives you the advantage.

Now we get to the important part of how to fight a Guerrilla War first i will discuss overall Strategy if you have ever played the Chinese game of Go you will feel familiar with this. In Go you will be faced with the challenge of surrounding as much territory as possible with as little of your stones as possible while forcing the opponent to use more of his stones.
This is basically a perfect description of Guerrilla Strategy you have to use your own troops as efficient as possible to reach your goal while preventing the enemy of reaching his. Sure efficiency in a combat situation can mean different things and here comes our first example of history into play the American Vietnam War. The North Vietnamese General Vo Nguyen Giap for short Giap can be quoted with the famous line that he would be willing to sacrifice ten of his people for each killed American. Here you have to keep in mind that efficiency in war can mean different things the Americans in the war had basically infinite amount of weapons for example they dropped literally millions of tons of bombs and missiles onto the whole region while the north vietnamese people had to fight with almost stoneage gear in comparison. Also you will have to see that from a publicity standpoint the bombing works for the Vietcong since it kills mostly civilians and thus giving them more of a legitimation of why to fight the Americans. Here is another important part of overall Strategy you should keep the people behind you and spin it as much as possible against the opponent to give yourself as much legitimation as possible.
Also you should keep integrated with the civilian people as much as possible since it will make targeting you without hitting them as well harder. This works as a perfect transition into tactics since we here have an perfect example on how to fight guerilla style. Keep close to your enemy since it will make it harder for them to use their numbers advantage without hitting their own troops. This can be shown as well greatly in Vietnam as well the Vietcong always sticked as close as possible to the Americans since this prevented them from using their air superiority for bombing targets without hitting their own people.
Guerilla tactics for the most part try to optimize their own efficiency while neglecting the advantages of the enemies. For example if you know that your enemy has a firepower keep it in close quarters so that they will risk hitting each other. While the opposite may be useful as well if you know your enemy is better than you at close range keep him far away as possible and only engage at long range retreating if they come for you.

The German government especially the newly elected one is the biggest show of incompetence since 1804 i would be rather surprised if they get anything done that would actually benefit the majority of the people.

And to the agencies that secure German security well i have seen to many statistics to know how high their failure rate is and have worked on to many projects to see how they implement things that even the description broken by design would be not only a understatement but could be considered a truly positive compliment.

Here we come to different kinds of tactics that have been mentioned before.
First of all the good old ambush which is a great way of gaining advantages about a normally superior enemy usually in numbers but positional or just getting them out of formation. So how do you do an ambush without it being too obvious. Here as well you can take some ideas from American History out of the Vietnam war. The Vietcong for example booby trapped corpses and placed them at positions where you would find them. Then as the corps would have been turned around you get an initial kill from the trap and a major demoralization factor on the rest that you can then attack ideally from high ground and out of cover. In another great example is having a single fighter or a small squad engage an enemy but as they notice their upcoming failure they retreat into a trap. This tactic is tricky since it risks the death of the initial squad before they can even retread if you underestimate your enemy also this can seem real obvious if the initial squad is too small.

Another great way is sabotage under this i would include the destruction of supply lines and attacking freighters or even resource refining or storage facilities. Here some more facts have to be determined for this you need a way of gathering intelligence about the routes and installations. You will need to know where exactly a freighter will be at what time. These informations have to be precise and without questions since you otherwise make yourself vulnerable for getting ambushed yourself. As well if you attack stationary or at least semi stationary installations you will not only need exact defense system specifications but also informations about nearby troop movements. To keep them away from the facility while you attack it you can stage a diversion but make sure that the distances between are not only great enough for them to not interfere with your raid but also to give additional time for your own save return.

Petty warfare is a tricky one since it is an old term that no longer is in use in modern vocabulary but what it comes down to is describing a way of fighting that makes use of small numbered squads and single units that may be deployed behind enemy lines to achieve single objectives such as demoralization. Here it is important that demoralization is understood it has to be clear to everyone that in warfare there is no place for morals or ethics killing of big numbers of civilians in a single attack may be called a terrorist attack from an enemy but from your side it is just tactics for demoralization of the public and getting it to decrease its support. Here it is important to again make clear that no matter what happens after wartime in a case of a lose you will be considered a criminal while if you win you will be a hero. Morals are irrelevant and all fighters have to understand this especially in the so called Petty warfare to succeed. Demoralization can be brutal on the own troops as well here it is advisable to keep people that committed things like ethnic cleansing and the like separate from your normal troops in special forces where they wont interact with your common fighter and thus disillusioned him that the cause he fights for might not be absolutely just. In petty warfare a bit of creativity is called for since determining the way a certain enemy can be hurt most effectively is hard to pin down maybe testing will be required.
Also it should be noted in this part that most of the time it is more efficient to just harm an enemy in a way where he wont be able to fight against you again than to kill him. He will be in need of support costing your enemy additional resources while also at the same time reminding all people that see him of your own power. But be careful with this it might lead to a point where the majority of people will be against you which can hardly be contained. Also sometimes it is better to not only disable an opponent but to get rid of him for good if you are sure he might have information about you that cant be risked of getting out.

Lastly i will come to the so called hit and run tactics these are not that hard to understand but need a high degree of skill for the fighter than will implement them. It is important to always be sure about your surrounding as well as enemy troop areas in the region and enemy weapons range and accuracy most people that will read this just call this form of fighting “Kiting” and that is essentially a almost perfect similarity so i will not go into detail on this and take it as a given.

It all started when our (former porn) star, Delmar, woke up in a disease-infested jungle.
It was the second time it had happened.
Feeling very frustrated, Delmar grabbed a potato, thinking it would make her feel better (but as usual, it did not).
With fist clenched and teeth gnashed, she realized that her beloved fireworks was missing!
Immediately she called her favorite rape victim, Emerson.
Delmar had known Emerson for (plus or minus) one million years, the majority of which were sassy ones.
Emerson was unique.
She was smart though sometimes a little... abrasive.
Delmar called her anyway, for the situation was urgent.

Emerson picked up to a very ecstatic Delmar.
Emerson calmly assured her that most legless puppies turn red before mating,
yet legless puppies usually charismatically sneeze *after* mating.
She had no idea what that meant; she was only concerned with distracting Delmar.
Why was Emerson trying to distract Delmar?
Because she had snuck out from Delmar's with the fireworks only nine days prior.
It was a flamboyant little fireworks... how could she resist?
It didn't take long before Delmar got back to the subject at hand: her fireworks.
Emerson sneezed.
Relunctantly, Emerson invited her over, assuring her they'd find the fireworks.
Delmar grabbed her George Foreman grill and disembarked immediately.
After hanging up the phone, Emerson realized that she was in trouble.
She had to find a place to hide the fireworks and she had to do it deftly.
She figured that if Delmar took the tricycle, she had take at least ten minutes before Delmar would get there.
But if she took the panther?
Then Emerson would be abnormally screwed.
Before she could come up with any reasonable ideas,
Emerson was interrupted by eleven dimwitted golfs that were lured by her fireworks.
Emerson sighed; 'Not again', she thought.
Feeling exasperated, she aimlessly reached for her banana and recklessly groped every last one of them.
Apparently this was an adequate deterrent--the discouraged critters began to scurry back toward the imaginery desert,
squealing with discontent.
She exhaled with relief. That's when she heard the panther rolling up. It was Delmar.

As she pulled up, she felt a sense of urgency.
She had had to make an unscheduled stop at IHOP to pick up a 12-pack of potatos, so she knew she was running late.
With a quick leap, Delmar was out of the panther and went sassily jaunting toward Emerson's front door.
Meanwhile inside, Emerson was panicking.
Not thinking, she tossed the fireworks into a box of ninja stars and then slid the box behind her refrigerator.
Emerson was stunned but at least the fireworks was concealed. The doorbell rang.

'Come in,' Emerson explosively purred.
With a apt push, Delmar opened the door.
'Sorry for being late, but I was being chased by some funny-smelling noble genius in a spaceship,' she lied.
'It's fine,' Emerson assured her.
Delmar took a seat ridiculously far from where Emerson had hidden the fireworks.
Emerson yawned trying unsuccessfully to hide her nervousness.
'Uhh, can I get you anything?' she blurted.
But Delmar was distracted.
Suddenly cheered up by the Hamtaro theme song, Emerson noticed a abrasive look on Delmar's face.
Delmar slowly opened her mouth to speak.
'...What's that smell?'
Emerson felt a stabbing pain in her fingernail when Delmar asked this.
In a moment of disbelief, she realized that she had hidden the fireworks right by her oscillating fan.
'Wh-what? I don't smell anything..!' A lie.
A selfish look started to form on Delmar's face.
She turned to notice a box that seemed clearly out of place.
Th-th-those are just my grandma's ninja stars from when she used to have pet Indonesian devil cats.
'She, uh...dropped 'em by here earlier'.
Delmar nodded with fake acknowledgement...then,
before Emerson could react, Delmar randomly lunged toward the box and opened it.
The fireworks was plainly in view.

Delmar stared at Emerson for what what must've been three minutes.
Suddenly cheered up by the Hamtaro theme song, Emerson groped wildly in Delmar's direction, clearly desperate.
Delmar grabbed the fireworks and bolted for the door.
It was locked. Emerson let out a exotic chuckle.
'If only you hadn't been so protective of that thing, none of this would have happened, Delmar,' she rebuked.
Emerson always had been a little clueless,
so Delmar knew that reconciliation was not an option; she needed to escape before Emerson did something crazy,
like... start chucking carrots at her or something.
A few freaknasty minutes later, she gripped her fireworks tightly and made a dash toward the window,
diving headlong through the glass panels.

Emerson looked on, blankly. 'What the hell? That seemed excessive.
The other door was open, you know.' Silence from Delmar.
'And to think, I varnished that window frame eight days ago...it never ends!' Suddenly she felt a tinge of concern for Delmar.
'Oh. You ..okay?' Still silence. Emerson walked over to the window and looked down. Delmar was gone.

Just yonder, Delmar was struggling to make her way through the magical cornfield behind Emerson's place.
Delmar had severely hurt her double chin during the window incident, and was starting to lose strength.
Another pack of feral golfs suddenly appeared, having caught wind of the fireworks.
One by one they latched on to Delmar.
Already weakened from her injury, Delmar yielded to the furry onslaught and collapsed.
The last thing she saw before losing consciousness was a buzzing horde of golfs running off with her fireworks.

About four hours later, Delmar awoke, her kidney throbbing.
It was dark and Delmar did not know where she was.
Deep in the uninhabited disease-infested jungle, Delmar was exceedingly lost.
Before anyone could take off their pants, she remembered that her fireworks was taken by the golfs.
But at that point, she was just thankful for her life.
That's when, to her horror, a bloated golf emerged from the fanstic pumpkin patch.
It was the alpha golf.
Delmar opened her mouth to scream but was cut short when the golf sunk its teeth into Delmar's love handle.
With a faint groan, the life escaped from Delmar's lungs, but not before she realized that she was a failure.
Less than eleven miles away, Emerson was entombed by anguish over the loss of the fireworks.
'MY PRECIOUS!!' she cried, as she reached for a sharpened ripened avocado.
With a inept thrust, she buried it deeply into her prostate.
As the room began to fade to black,
she thought about Delmar... wishing she had found the courage to tell her that she loved her.
But she would die alone that day.
All that remained was the fireworks that had turned them against each other, ultimately causing their demise.
And as the dew on melancholy sappling branches began to reflect the dawn's reddish glare,
all that could be heard was the chilling cry of distant golfs,
desecrating all things sacred to virtuous men,
and perpetuating an evil that would reign for centuries to come.
Our heroes would've lived unhappily ever after, but they were too busy being dead.
So, no one lived forever after, the end. :'(
