Entries in Yellow have been recently added to the guild rules. Entries in Cyan are updated or reworded from the previous ruleset.

Guild Requirements

-You must be able to use our voice communications server when required.
-You must understand English
-You must read and abide by the rules
-You must not be a member of other guilds in any of the games Bloodpact play
-You must register your account using your main e-mail address so you receive notifications of important updates.

General Rules

-Take the time to check the website for announcements and news every day. This does not take more than 5 minutes, and shouldn't be too demanding.

-NEVER, unless you have explicitly notified the guild of a prolonged absence, deactivate your subscription to the guild's PM system from your e-mail. Members who can't be reached because they are both inactive and unsubscripted from the PM system will be deleted as members, no questions asked. If you are receiving a lot of spam from Enjin, read this thread.

-Upon infringing on the above rule, you may re-apply to the guild once. Repeating this offense means a permanent guild kick.

-Be active. If you're going inactive for more than a couple of days, let us know or risk being punished as in the above rule.

-Use Ventrilo/ Mumble when asked to. To gain any sort of leadership position in the guild, you must have both voice comm and a microphone. To participate in large scale team PvP or raids, you must have voice comm and be able to listen, but not necessarily a mic.

-Treat others with respect. Not just guild members - the community, GM's, guild leaders, members, your dog, your sister, the dwarf who kicked your ass in PvP and their furry little mother. Everyone. No serious trash talking allowed. Being a badass does not mean you have to be an ass. Jokes are fine, as long as you think your joke will not be taken seriously by anyone. If anyone is offended, let them know it was a joke. If the person is still offended, let Mercury know and he will investigate the matter and act accordingly.

-If you have questions to ask about the game, ask guild mates first.

Ranking System

Bloodletter --> Caretaker --> Dracon --> War Council --> Archon

Apart from Trial and Member, there are 5 ranks anyone can earn through their time in Bloodpact.

Bloodletters are veteran members, and as such command a certain degree of authority in those rare times when no officers happen to be around. The rank of Bloodletter is given to someone who have shown the leaders that their decision making and instincts in and out of games correspond with the ideals of Bloodpact.

Caretakers are veteran members that act as a petty officer. Caretakers have the power to censor members and the responsibility that comes with it. This means they can moderate forums and the website if needed, they will have channel admin privileges on voice comm and officer status in game. Despite this, Caretakers have no responsibilities forced upon them, just the freedom through trust.

Dracons are officers. They are the go-to guys and girls for member's needs, concerns and questions. They are the first step in the chain of command, and if they can't deal with a situation themselves they will send the query on to the War Council.

War Council members are those who have proven to have an intrinsic understanding of the "Bloodpact way", and are big decision-makers alongside the Archon. The War Council is usually chosen for each game, after launch. They will also be the loot council in content where this is needed, along with the Archon.

The Archon is the head of the community. All final decisions in the most important matters are handled by the Archon. Bloodpact has had three Archons. Drac, who started the guild in Corum Online, his successor Neez, and finally Merc (aka. Mercury, Claywhore or Quicksilver)

Party Rules

Loot distribution is need before greed in regular group mode content.

-Choose a Ventrilo/Mumble channel for your party

-Our guild members take priority when considering members for parties, within reasonable group composition.

-The requirements for a PUG to be accepted on to our Ventrilo/ Mumble is as follows: 1) The guild must not be in a period of playing any games protected by NDA. 2) The person in question may not have bad history with the guild. 3) Notify an officer beforehand, letting him or her know that person's name.

Raid Selection/ Makeup Rules
Raid leaders are instructed to choose raid members in the following order:

-Role before Activity (raid role/class makeup comes before activity)

-Activity before gear level (more active players are preferred)

-Gear level before time zone 'home' (less geared players are preferred)

-Time Zone home before rank (players belonging to current TZ are preferred)

-Rank in guild

-Pugs come last (pugs are only last resort)

Role > Activity > Gear Level > Time Zone > Rank > Pug

Raid Rules

-Loot distribution is determined by the guild DKP system Need before greed (The Secret World)

-Log into the correct Ventrilo/ Mumble channel ("Raid SIT LIST" until selected for the raid and moved to the raid channel by an officer)

-Listen to ranking members

-Limit Ventrilo chatter to useful information especially when orders are being given or whilst a pull is in progress

-Only Officers, if one is present, can open loot bags

-If we don't have room for you in the raid you can choose to be placed on the Sit-List for the duration of the raid and earn 50% DKP. This requires you to be at the computer ready to replace other raid members. While on the sit list you may play as you normally would, but you may not commit to long dungeon runs. If selected for the raid, we expect you to be able to get to the raid within 5 minutes.

Group PvP Rules

-Log into the correct Ventrilo/ Mumble channel.

-Listen to ranking members and execute their orders.

-Stay with the group in-game unless instructed otherwise

-Limit Ventrilo chatter to useful information especially when orders are being given.

Forum Rules

-Don't spam nonsensical posts.

-Don't disrespect people or flame anyone whether they are members or not.

-Be constructive in important discussions.

Ventrilo/ Mumble/ Teamspeak Rules

-Do not use racial slurs or offensive language unless in a private chat with people who you all know is fine with it. We are a mature group and we do not accept this kind of behavior in our main channels.

-If told not to speak, don't speak. If this happens, it's usually because you're either way too loud or you have speakers providing background feedback, or you were interrupting someone. Feedback is unwanted, please use headphones.

-Learn to not raise your voice when you get excited. Don't mumble either.
